One day extension programs for specialty meetings
If you have attended the Authentic Facilitator, you may be interested in learning how to facilitate particular specialty meetings. We are pleased to offer three different one day programs aimed to providing you with specific techniques and processes to facilitate three different specialty meetings.
The three, one day programs are the following:
- Facilitating a business planning meeting
- Facilitating a team building meeting
- Facilitating a conflict resolution meeting
Facilitating a business planning meeting
The Facilitating a Business Plan 1 day extension program will increase the ability of participants to facilitate the development of a business group in a way that includes input, supports rigorous and critical thinking and where the output enjoys strong buy-in. Your plan may include all or some of the following: group mission, six to eight key business goals, obstacles and critical success factors, key initiatives and action plans.
The cost of this one day workshop is $4,200 (ex GST) per day for a group of up to 15 people.
Participants will learn how to:
- prepare for a meeting by collating information that will help the group to execute a thorough environmental analysis
- design a meeting process or agenda that honours the main principles of effective collective decision-making and delivers a thorough business plan
- identify the right questions to ask of the group and ask them in ways that generate an abundance of information
- keep the group focused throughout
- handle disagreements in ways that enhance the planning process
- use flip-charts, white-boards as effective tools for "group memory" documentation

Facilitating a team building meeting
The Facilitating Team Building 1 day extension program will increase the ability of participants to facilitate the necessary group discussion that will build trust within teams and clarify the ongoing behaviours and action required for the sustainable building of trust.
The cost of this one day workshop is $4,200 (ex GST) per day for a group of up to 15 people.
Participants will learn how to
- facilitate a structured group discussion that will clearly identify behaviours that will build or erode trust in a team;
- integrate small trust building discussions and exercises into regular team meetings;
- apply team knowledge of personality styles to structured group discussions that build trust;
- facilitate a group discussion of "undiscussables" and thereby strengthen the sense of safety in the team.

Facilitating a conflict resolution meeting
The Facilitating Conflict Resolution 1 day extension program will increase the ability of participants to resolve conflict between individuals and groups. You will be able to assist your participants to identify their needs in relation to the conflict and their possible role in creating and sustaining the conflict. Finally, you will learn how to help those in conflict agree on the most effective next steps.
The cost of this one day workshop is $4,200 (ex GST) per day for a group of up to 15 people.
Participants will learn how to:
- apply a simple, robust six-step process to conflict situations that facilitates decisions for required action
- apply a unique exercise that assists those involved in conflict to clarify how they have contributed to the conflict
- assist groups and individuals to separate the roles in conflict from the people and thereby enable the parties to engage in robust exchange without defensiveness or hurt
- manage their own emotions when in the midst of conflict
